Advice on trip from 12/25 - 1/5

Hey there. My family (including in-laws) are flying down on Xmas day. We are staying off site the entire time. The first 2 - 3 days we are thinking about doing Universal. The rest of the time 7 - 8 days will be at Disney. Any advice on what to do, or what is going on for NYE?? Best places to eat, etc??? We just started planning this trip about 2 weeks ago. Got great air fare from Jersey .

Any and all advice is welcome. We were down there 2 years ago at the same time, and I know how crowded it can be.

Make all eating reservations NOW. The restaurants book up early, we had to do all counter service while we were there last week.

First of all, welcome to the boards! Hope we see you around here often.

I'll be down there at the same time, Dec. 26-Jan. 4. I was also there last year during the same week. We had fun going resort hopping one evening and enjoying all the different Christmas decorations. We tied it in with a dinner out and had a wonderful time. Especially worth visiting were GF and WL - spectacular!

We enjoyed plenty of time in the parks, but opted NOT to go to any parks on the 31st. Instead we enjoyed the pool at the resort, a little shopping, a nice dinner at Cape May, and checking out the Boardwalk. As it turned out, it poured and poured rain on NYE so we were glad not to be out in a crowded park in such lousy weather.

We'll be there for a surprise NYE trip for my two DDs. We are arriving 12/30 and leaving 1/5. We are gonna see the CP on the 30 and did a package and then spend NYE in EPCOT. The rest of the trip we will probably be recovering from the very long day at EPCOT for NYE and enjoying the rest of the parks!!
