Hi everyone:sunny: We are going to take our pastor's family with us to disney the first week of Feb for a five night trip. We will need two rooms; one for 2a, 2c, and one for 2a and 3c. I am thinking about the FW cabins, but would really like to go delux. This will be their first trip and our gift to them. Do you have any suggestions. Price is a factor, but we are willing to make it work.
I was thinking about two studios at the Beach club or Boardwalk Villas. Will they be big enough to sleep the 5 people?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is one of the 3c under 3? If so, the studio idea could work.

The DVC studios have one queen bed and one sleep sofa. Disney's stated maximim occupancy for the studios is 4 people plus a child under 3. There is a portable Pac 'n Play crib provided for the child.

I suppose you could bring a twin aero bed or an air mattress to accomodate the 5th person (if not under 3) - assuming you don't mind exceeding the max occupancy. Disney will not provide a cot or rollaway or extra bedding to accomodate more than the stated maximum. That said, they also do not do bed checks.

I'm quite sure that there are rooms at the BC, YC and BWI that will accomodate 5 persons - believe there is a twin size daybed for the 5th person. I think the price should be comparable to the studio price.

Have you considered the Swan or Dolphin? Very nice rooms in the same area, with pretty much the same perks and amenities. I think they also have rooms that may accomodate 5.

Other than the deluxe resorts, only POR and the FT Wilderness cabins will accomodate 5 persons.

FWIW, I think you are doing a very nice thing for your pastor's family.

Best wishes -

Thanks CarolMN. I was thinking about the Dolphin. We loved it there. The dvc rental points are the cheapest way to go and still be a very nice resort. The studios don't offer the daybeds also? Is that just in the BWI? I am just not interested in the FW cabins b/c the pool is soooo blah.
The kids are all over three, yet still need only a child's park ticket. Would bringing an airmattress really work?
I guess I could book two rooms at one of the delux's and then pray for ap rates:teeth:

Saw your post on the DVC board - where I usually hang out. Answered the daybed question there.

Hope AP rates come out soon and help you out.

Good luck-
