Advice on touring plan in April??

We just added a few days to our April stay so we can take our kids (DD age 9, DS age 7) to WWoHP for the first time. Staying at RPH 4/13 - 4/16.

We are Universal newbies, so we have questions!

- First day on site will be Sat. April 14th, the tail end of a crowded week. Better to spend the day by the pool and skip parks entirely, or should we give it a go in HP world? Can't decide if it's worth the $$ for park entry.... we will still have two more days after that, with on-site early admission each day.

- Game plan for WWoHP on Sunday is as follows:
- arrive early for resort guest opening
- straight to Ollivander's
- FJ
- Flight of Hippogriff

What should come next?? We are not Dragon Challenge people - total wimps, it will be all I can do to get my kids to go on Forbidden Journey!

Any advice/suggestions welcome! We're adding this before 4 days at WDW.:goodvibes:goodvibes

Since you are staying onsite and will have unlimited Express access, there is no need of a touring plan...seriously. You will have the luxury of doing whatever you want and having very little wait times.

Just a side note...April 14th is the last night of Mardi Gras and KC & the Sunshine Band will be performing at the Universal Music Plaza inside the Studios. Along with the parade, I don't know if that would be worth spending a day of your tickets but you can also walk around CityWalk that night and take in the atmosphere.

Really? The idea of the crowds inside HP world is totally intimidating - I'm a die-hard over-planner (as you can tell). I'll try to relax.... a little!

Yup...just relax...this isn't Disney where everything has to be planned down to the second. WWoHP can get very busy but again...since you're staying onsite, make sure you take advantage of early entry. Once you've done that section of the park, the rest will be a breeze.
