Hey Girls - So, we ordered our invitations and at the time I realized that there is no menu choice available on the response cards. :confused3 There wasn't even an option to add text, so I'm wondering how I can casually address the issue of entree choice. Here is what they look like - they do fold like an index card in half so, I'm wondering what to do. My mother (when I called her in a panic at the store) said, "oh don't worry, we'll print out some labels and add it to the inside so people can circle what they want" ... my question is, do you think they'll be able to see it? :confused3 I don't want to have to call 75 people to find out what they want to eat... and I'm worried about it looking tacky...

Thats a hard one. I am not sure if everyone will open the RSVP card and I don't know where else to put it. Are you sure they cannot be redone and you can change the text?

I would add a little slip of paper, rather than a sticker, and just include in in with the response card.

Yeah, I even asked the woman at the store. :confused3 Seems bizarre to me, who has a reception and doesn't offer a dinner choice? :confused3

I thought of this too, but do you think they'll actually include it in the envelope? :confused3

:headache:

I got a slip of paper in an invite once and I sent it back but I know my Dad forgot to.

I think if people have a real preference they will remember to include it.

I think the slip of paper is a better idea then a sticker on the inside. I would really be afraid people would not open the card. I would definately put each persons name on the slip of paper you include and the menu choices. Hopefully everyone will include it and if they don't I guess you will have to make some phone calls (hopefully not too many).

I agree with the slip of paper idea. Then I would mention it to your mom/FMIL and when they're fielding calls from guests they can casually mention "By the way, did you get the slip of paper asking for your dinner preference?" :) Word will spread and most should respond with the note. Otherwise they eat what they get! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 thanks gals! I think I'm going to do the paper -- Should I slide it inside the response card or just place it behind/in front? :confused3

I would place it infront. This way anyone who thinks response cards are unneccessary will see the menu option card and think "ooh..I had better send this in, otherwise I won't get what I want!" If it goes behind the card, while this may be more "appropriate" in the world of invites, a guest my bypass it if they arent planning to send in the RSVP card anyways.

:thumbsup2 Thanks.

I'm hoping people will RSVP, because its for our reception at home. And I'll be all :furious: when tracking people down. :)

You could use print your own business card stock from staples. You can make them on your computer and make them look as formal as you want..Even if you get a fancy paper clip and attach it to the envelope so they have to take it off before the send it...
