Advice on playhouse disney breakfast

I just found out the there is a playhouse disney breakfast. Can somebody tell me what you think about the breakfast &/or the lunch? Good and bad about the food & the interaction w/ the characters. We are already doing a lot of character meals but my DS that will be almost 3 likes little einstiens. Thanks for your help.

The food is average, the character interaction is fun. After visiting the tables, the characters sing and dance with the children, which you don't find at the other character meals. My boys love this restaurant, we're really tired of it. But it's a must do for them each trip.

When we were there in January (for breakfast), there were very few other diners. The food is similar to the typical character breakfasts-pretty good (I think Tusker House has the best character breakfast food as there tends to be more variety), but since we were one of the few people there, we received incredible, incredible service and the characters stayed around for a long, long time. My 2.5 year old nephew loved it. The singing and dancing time was fun for him as well (we had been there before and realized that we needed to go home and listen to the Little Einsteins songs. In January, we were prepared to sing-a-long.) We also love that it gets us into the park and puts us closer to the Toy Story ride. We do an 8ish breakfast.... At 9am, there is still a crowd as they keep you from getting too far ahead, but with an infant and 2 grandparents, we appreciate a little head start.

My girls loved this one. Lots of Character interaction, singing, dancing. When we went, in Dec 07, all the kids would run up front about every 15 min and they would dance with the characters and sing Playhouse Disney songs. Lots of good photo ops and we video taped quite a bit. That being said we went for lunch and I do not remember the food It was the last day of our trip and with all the hoopla in the resturant I do not remember what I ate. Our friends that where with us want to go back this Dec so I guess it couldn't have been too bad!

Your son will be a great age for this! We really liked it. My oldest is too old for this now, but we will do it again when my youngest is old enough!!! If you ever plan on trying it, you might want to do it now!!

My kids loved it last year at ages 2 and 3... the food was "ok"... we did breakfast... hard to screw up too much... and they LOVED the characters and the singing and dancing...

We will be returning for breakfast this summer at ages 3 & 4 and I think that will probably be the last time for this meal for us...

My almost three yr old love it! She loves the LE and to see June and Leo? Well I am suprised she didn't faint! Our breakfast was not crowded at all (only about four or five tables were occupied) so the characters came around more than once and played games with her and everything. One time Leo snuck up on her and tapped her on the shoulder. She thought it was her sister and turned around saying "Sami" and then saw Leo! She was so excited. I had her wear her June and Annie shirt and bring some of her toys and the characters played with them and made a big deal out of her. Here are some pictures

We went this past October and my 2.5 year old loved it. He also loves the Einsteins. The food wasn't bad, pretty typical character breakfast food but the characters were very interactive with all the kids. Singing, dancing, we probably enjoyed watching him as much as he loved it. I say if your kids like the Einsteins, it is totally worth it.

Which characters are in the "show", and where is this held (name of the park/restaurant)?

I don't know for sure but it based on the photos above it looks like the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios. My grand kids would love it. I'll have to check into it and see if my ds and ddil want to take them on our next trip.

I would LOVE to know the particulars, as well!
We'll be bringing our 2 grandchildren to WDW soon and this looks great. I especially like the fact that it seems so UN-crowded! Wonder how long that will last now that it's posted on the DIS!
BTW - is this place on the dining plan?

The Playhouse Disney meals are at Hollywood & Vine at DHS. They have characters at breakfast and lunch. It's Leo and June from Little Einsteins and JoJo and Goliath. You do need ADRs. but I don't know how popular it is.

This does take the dining plan. The pictures above (where it is so uncrowded) was the first day of free dining in August. I would have thought it would have been more crowded. I have countless pictures from that meal. My daughter was in some serious heaven. The characters were June, Leo, Jojo and Goliath. It was a great experience. As for the food? Standard breakfast stuff. My kids didn't eat too much...too busy hugging, getting autographs and dancing. Oh and even my "I'm too cool for this" 11 yr old got into it!

The food is just the normal buffet fare at Disney, but the character interaction for the kids is great. My youngest daughter loved the interaction with the characters there.

Terrible! The only character meal I will never go back to. Food was bad, service was bad and character interaction was bad! We were there for over an hour and only met Goliath and June.
