hello!

So here are my plans:

Me, daughter (19), her boyfriend (20), and my other daughter (16)
Going in October. Tuesday the 23rd to Friday the 26th. Only in Disney 3 days
Staying at best western park place inn and suites
Flying into Long Beach

Originally I planned on buying 3 day park hopper tickets so we could have an early morning. Now that they have released the dates for the Halloween party the only date that will work for us is the day we get in (23rd)
Our plane lands at 12:15 pm and by the time we get an Uber and get to the hotel I am guessing it will be around 1:30ish. The Halloween party gets us in 3 hours early so 3:00. Should we just wait to go into Disney then and then I don’t have to buy a park hopper that day? It would save me about $300
But then we can’t go straight to Disney when we arrive and I also loose out on the magic morning.
This makes the most sense, right? Right?

Just wondering what everyone thinks. Is that what you would do?

Thank you!

It would only be about an hour and a half. I would go to DtD for lunch, maybe check out the shops and then go to the party.
Trader Sam's will keep you in the bubble ;)

If I were you I would go to the party on arrival day and get 2 day hoppers. You will find most attractions with close to zero wait times during the party and you rarely get that during magic mornings any more.

I agree with this 100%. I will suggest you get to the gates first thing to be in the parks when they open so you can get on rides and fast passes. Have fun planning!

This past trip we did not have MM since we upgraded to APs. The mornings were still a great time to go, with little to no wait times for the first 2-3 hours.

Yes. You can still go to Downtown Disney or visit the Disney Hotels while you wait for your party entrance time. Those areas will be decorated, too. There will be plenty to do/see around there before going into the parks.

Get the park hoppers for your next 2 days and just plan on getting there at park opening. You'll be fine without early entrance on those days.

I would hold off buying tickets. But make sure to arrive early for the 3pm entrance. Maybe line up at 2 or 2:30. If I recall correctly, they had a specific turnstile for party-only ticket holders. Last year i noticed the line was a bit long to get in.
