So right now we're booked for June 10-16, with in park dates 11-15 which is M-F. But now I'm starting to wonder if I should try to change my dates to make the 16th, a Saturday, our last day in the park. I was trying to avoid the weekend, but after reading about how important blockout days are, maybe I shouldn't be? The week we've got booked right now is the first week of the lowest passes being blocked, but only that Saturday would also have the next level blocked. Do you think this will make much difference?

Thoughts?

I don't think it will be a noticeable difference since the lowest tier is already blocked. If there is a difference it will most likely be in the evenings so use mornings to get as much done as you can. I think the difference in the pass blockouts will be offset by the amount of people who are taking a weekend trip.

As counterintuitive as it sounds, we've found Saturdays to be some of the best days, crowd-wise. It really is a noticeable difference when the lower tiers are blocked. If you can be at the parks for rope drop and make the most of the morning hours, you can get a lot done on a Saturday. Depending on the park hours for the 16th, if the MM is early (7 am), that could be a great day to use your MM -- early MM is better and on a Saturday, that can be a win win (not as many people want to get up that early for DL, especially on a Saturday).

I agree with Saturday being the best day for crowds. (especially in mid June) Also there is something really special about going to Disneyland on a Saturday morning. It makes me feel like a child again. :)
