We (myself, DH, DS) are going back next year, early June, so I have plenty of time to decide.

We have stayed at all the moderates except PO French Quarter. So, I may choose that one. Is it usually included when discounts come out?

DH likes PORiverside. I was thinking of doing the Royal Room, if you have stayed here, will your share your experience? (are the rooms in a good location, are they worth the extra $)

I like CBR, but this is DH's least favorite. I wouldn't mind Coronado, but I like having a food court, for breakfast.

We are planning on doing the Water Park option, so the pool is not really a big deal. I guess, most important things are: transportation, food & atmosphere.

Any advice welcome. Thanks

- POFQ is rarely included in general public special offers.

- I've never thought the Royal Rooms were worth the upcharge unless you have a princess crazed little girl.

- CSR does have a food court. It's called the Pepper Market.

We stayed at the POR Royal Rooms in May, for my 5 year old who absolutely loves everything princess. They're very well themed, and really close to the pool and food court, which is a plus. I probably wouldn't stay there again though. Other than the location, it doesn't really have any advantages.
We walked over to POFQ a couple of times, and loved it. Definitely want to stay there at some point. It's a very compact resort too.

POR pool view AB rooms are awesome. Well landscaped and walk right out a pool twenty feet away.

POFQ is rarely included in discounts.

RR in POR are all in the mansions section either Oak manor or Parterre place. If you book pool view you will be fairly close to the bridge that leads to the main building with dining, shopping checkin etc. The location is pretty good, IMO. Second only to the preferred rooms in AB. Personally, I think that RR are nice to see once, but the other rooms in POR are really just as nice and are significantly less expensive. For the most part, unless princesses are your dream, I would recommend saving the money or booking a preferred location instead..

I am confused. You like Coronado, but want a food court? CSR had a food court every time that we stayed there.

Many people find the buses best from POFQ because there is only the one bus stop. We always found bus transportation good from CSR as well. POFQ only has the food court for dining. However, there is a boat to Downtown Disney or you can walk to POR for their food court or TS dining.

POFQ is my very favourite. So many amenities. So close to the eating area for refilling mugs. Was a few stairs and like 5 steps away, great when you have a disability. Menu is nice, New Orleans touches. Shared amenities with POR like their TS restaurant. Great bus service, shared with POR but stops both ways at POFQ first do u always get a seat. Smores. Fishing. Boat to DTD.
The grounds to POR magnolia were prettier, and the trundle beds in the bayou would be good for a family of 5, but my important a were
1. Small resort
2. Quick access to refill station / food
3. Good bus situation
4. Central (not far from everything like the places near AK)
YMMV.

I thought Pepper Market, was more like a TS, where you tip. I don't really want to tip every morning for breakfast. Has it changed?

Yes - it now runs like other resort CS

Oh, that's great. We stayed there on our very first Disney vacation 8 years ago. It would be nice to go back.

My family LOVES POR for the the beautiful and quiet grounds. We do not really like POFQ as we feel it is too small. We stayed at CSR last November in a business class room and it was fantastic! The business class rooms were in an excellent location close to main pool and el centro and had a lounge with food for business class rooms only! We would grab breakfast there every morning and head out to the parks without the hassle of breakfast crowds. At night we would grab beer/wine and snacks and then head back to the parks. Good luck making a decision!

We did the royal rooms once and were glad we did. We probably wouldn't pay the added charge to again, though. The added touches are nice and the location is very good, but we've liked all of our rooms at POR so I probably wouldn't pay extra for anything, except maybe a preferred room since we tend to always grab the bus near the main entrance after CS breakfast.
