advice on July 4th plan

We are arriving at 11:00 am on July 4th and planning on heading out to "somewhere" around 3:00. We are thinking that the waterparks or Animal Kingdom may be clearing out around that time. We will then have 4 hours at one of those parks. Any experience on the 4th with AK or waterparks?

We don't have a strong desire to see fireworks, as seeing Wishes on another night is better than any fireworks we would see at home at any time.

I would say if you are heading out around 1 to head to the waterpark. But since you are saying 3 I would say AK. The park is emptying out and should be able to get allot accomplished. And if you stil wanted to catch the fireworks at MK or Epcot you still could cause AK closes at 6 pm. And Epcot is open till 10pm and MK is open till 1 am.

You do know that July 4th fireworks at MK and Epcot are different from the regular fireworks.
