Anyone have luck getting on the 7DM ride with less than an 20 minute wait if they had an 8:05am breakfast reservation with a 9am opening? I have a member in our group who insists we will still wait an hour with all of our toddlers in tow. I am thinking we have a good shot. What say you collective knowledge?

Highly unlikely. Only way I could see that happening is if you're seated immediately and inhale the food to just get out of there. The park also sometimes can open early, so you could potentially have people entering at say 8:45am.

Those that walk fast and rush there will make it on with little to no wait. But it fills up quick. Within 10 min it's normally a 30+ min wait. So being your breakfast is so close to opening, that would virtually be impossible to make it to mine train ahead of the crowd

We''ve found that the line can get really short later into the evening. For example early last summer on an non-EMH night, the posted wait time at about 11:30 pm was 80 minutes. But the actual wait was 20 minutes for our 1st trip then 10 the 2nd time through.

We had an 8:20 BOG breakfast. We walk quickly, I guess, because we ended up checking in first and were seated right around 8:00. Got out and were first in line at 7DMT. The line builds quickly and, I think if you are coming from CP you have to wait at a rope to Fntasyland. We rode 7dmt again that trip during the ELP. Waited just about 30 minutes, maybe less.

This sounds great if we didn't have 2 four year olds in tow.

We had 8:05am ADR at Crystal Palace on our first MK day (three weeks ago). We sauntered outside at 8:55am shocked to see the entire world speed walking down Main St. We hustled over to 7DMT and got in line, waited 20-25 minutes, standby line long but moves because not many people using FP at that time. If we had known the MK usually opens 15 minutes early nowadays, we could have easily been out of CP by 8:45am.

On our 2nd MK day, we were there at park opening 8:45am, walked slowly to 7DMT letting the maniacs run ahead, had about 10 minute wait to ride 7DMT.

Best way to ride it is get a fastpass. But we were thinking maybe right before closing ?

If you can't get FP, you should have no problem riding right at park opening and/or right at park closing. We were surprised when we were down there that the ride was even running in a steady rain.

They might surprise you. Even when they were little, I found it much easier to let my kids stay up late over making them get up early.

My fondest Disney memory is chasing my then 3 year old daughter back to the entrance of Space Mountain moments before midnight with her screaming "One more time Daddy" all the way.

The one & only time we got neat 7DM was during last years MNSSHP - were the queue times was about 20mins. We made our way during the Fireworks though.

How long does a typical breakfast last @ BOG. I thought it was quick service?

It is quick service. It took us about 30 minutes or so. You order at a kiosk with a CM helping you. Get your drinks at the self service station and find a seat. The food is delivered to your table very quickly. We were outside waiting for Mine a Train by about 8:40, but we dawdled, took photos, visited the rest room one more time etc.

If your ADR is 8:05 you should have no problem at all. You will be just fine. Just try to be done eating by 8:40, keep it moving and you will be one of the first famiies in line.

Side note: our first trip our DD was 3. It was easier to get her moving for something special at that age than it is today with our 2 teens....
