I am doing a 5k tomorrow at 5pm. I have never done one that was late in the day and I'm curious if anyone has any words of wisdom. So far the forecast doesn't look to bad; high of 84 degrees.

Any advice?? :confused3

Just make sure not to have a big meal within 3 or 4 hours of the race and if you have any foods that sometimes don't agree with you skip them that day. Also, if you are going right from work to the race make sure to double check that you have everything. There have been times I had to make a pitstop to pick up a pair of running shorts or socks because I forgot to pack them in the gym bag that morning.

I do most of my runs in the evening, including some races, and there really isn't anything else I can think of.

at 84F you will need to keep the first mile under control... otherwise have a great race
