advice on choosing dates for september

My family is scheduled to go to CSR from 9/21-9/30 but now I'm thinking of 9/24-10/3 due to airfare (not much difference in $ just arrival and departure times). We do have free dinning. Any suggestions as to which dates to take? We are flying from California and we would arrive much earlier on the 9/24 than 9/21 arrival time. just wondering

If one of the reasons you're going at that time is for the Food & Wine Festival, the later dates will give you more days for it.

We fly from California also so the 3 hour difference really helps us adjust. Even though we may not get to bed until midnight that first night it helps that in the back of our minds it still feels earlier.

I was wondering due to crowds (forgot about the wine and food festival) and by coming in on the 24th I would arrive at 8pm vs 5pm.
