Hi, I'm just wondering if someone can give me advice on the best way to book car hire and the best company to go with! I've gotten a quote from the TA I usually use and they've given a quote of €971 for 16 nights next May for an 8 passenger van. If we buy our park tickets off them we'll get free GPS hire for the duration. I'm wondering if that price is decent or would I be best to wait and do it myself? I've never booked myself before so although we've been a good few times I'm clueless about booking myself direct with the rental company! Any tips/help/advice would be HUGELY appreciated :goodvibes

Does your quote include tank of gas? extra driver?

Just looked on Holiday autos, they are quoting £515, can you get Quidco in Ireland? that woudl knock 8% off bringing cost down to £473 (584 Euros)

Link for 15% discount and instuctions how to get Quidco as well. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other-car-rental-programs-partners-ie-alamo-enterprise/734198-holidayautos-discount-worldwide.html

Oh thanks for the link! Not sure if we can get Quidco though! The quote includes the full tank of gas alright but not an additional driver which is fine for us but I just think that price is quite steep and think we've usually gotten it for less! Even the quote we got for the villa rental was higher than usual! I've always booked the car and villa through a TA so booking them individually is a bit daunting but funds are tighter since DS came along and I was let go in work so we're shopping around more for deals whereas before we'd just book and not really look into the detailed prices!
