I was reading posts last night and thought about the PGA tour coming through Disney the same week I have my Ressies. Oct 17th- 22nd. Now, I talked to my family and Dad said he would give up seeing the PGA to trade off for less crowds. Do you think to avoid higher crowds, to set our trip back a week to the 10th?
I am not sure how much the crowds would be with PGA folks being there...

Thoughts?
Thanks in advance

I don't know what amount of a crowd the PGA draws but I can tell you that the 10th is Thanksgiving for Canadians and alot head down then so that will increase the crowds.

We've been there twice during the PGA. We didn't notice an increase in crowds at all. Rooms will book up (especially in the deluxe resorts) during that time, but the players & fans seem to spend most of their time at the courses, not at the parks. I would go ahead and keep your original dates.

We were there for Colombus day weekend last yeat Oct 5 - 12 and we saw an increase in crowds. You also have to remember that some schools have fall break and this can make a difference.

Right around Columbus Day definetly see's an increase. Right around that time there were some school' in the southern states that had off for a week. I remember many Diser's going for that. Honestly, I think you'll see lower crowds during the PGA then Columbus Day.

Now, if you want to push it all the way to the first week in October--- perfect for low to no crowds.

We were there during that week this year and noticed no difference in crowd size with the exception of the one day (Sat) that we headed over to try US for the first time. We talked to some people at the airport that noticed the same change at MK but that could have even been contributed to day trippers, hurricane reschedulers or anything else. The rest of the week saw no lines longer than 15 mins.

Thanks for the feedback. I have discussed it with the group and we will keep our orginal dates.
YOu are all wonderful.
