We booked a disney vacation thur a DVC memger as his guest at OKW. We got a great deal. We are taking our almost 3yr old DD with us. Well we have been together for 6 years and engaged for almost 3. we just have had so many things going on with family, work, baby, home renovations etc.. we just have been pushing it back and we don't want to anymore!!

We both love the idea of an intimate wedding while we are at Disney. WE never wanted elaborate but not just a courthouse either. This seems perfect but who informal can they be? Any advice or suggestions? Our daughter would be there and we would probably just ask VERY immediate family so no more than 8. I would like just a nice ceremony, dinner somewhere nice and then I thought the Illuminations Dessert after. I would not want my fiancee to wear a tux and my dress would be very simple. Has anyone done anything similiar?

You sound like the perfect family for an Intimate Wedding. I recommend calling them and talking to them about your dates. They can give you an idea of prices. locations available and all. Make sure you tell them you have the rooms and such booked already, as I believe one of the options is a complete vacation package with hotel, tickets and everything.

That's right! They can do very informal, everything is completely catered to you. They will not pressure you into dressing up more than you want or anything like that. You sound like you would be perfect for an Intimate Add-On.

Yes - I have talked to Christy from Disney. I am waiting to get a head count - if we do more we may do the pavillion. I am really nervous about the weather because it is rainy season!!! It is looking more towards the polynesian though. We are staying in OKW from the 5-11th but I think we might stay at the poly the 3-5th first and have the wedding at sunset point while we are there on Friday (probably early like 11am to avoid rain!) I have had SO many suggestions on restaurants though. That will also depend on head count. On Saturday night we will then go to OKW and enjoy our week.

I will keep you updated. Thanks for asking!!! Any thoughts or opinions still wanted. LOL

Great news that you've been in contact with Disney. It does sound like a good idea to stay at the Poly and have the wedding there - it's such a pretty location and I would agree on the timing of the wedding because of the rain, you are then in a great location to get to some wonderful restaurants - I know it will depend on numbers but Citricos and California Grill are a couple of my favs.
