Advice needed?

My home resort is OKW and I am trying to book 2 studios from Nov 9th- 12. My problem is I am 21 points short. I know I would have to wait until the 7 month window to buy the one time use points but should I just wait to book then and take my chances or should i book the 2 rooms for 2 nights and add the extra night later?

I would book as much as possible now with what points you have available. Friday and Saturday nights often are available longer since they are more points. The demand could be different if your dates are those of a school holiday for those in the northeast. Can you borrow points to complete the rez? Or do you know anyone that could transfer the points to you?

I am actually borrowing those points from 2017 . I only have 48 left. I tried the transfer boards but have not had luck yet. Thanks for the suggestion

It is a long weekend in the northeast. Most schools are off on the 11th for Veteran's day.

That's what I thought. That holiday can be a high demand time for DVC resorts at WDW as a big chunk of DVC Members live in the northeast. I think I would grab what I could online, either all of one rez or a couple of nites for both rez's as you mentioned. And then I would give MS a call and see if they can see any kind of inventory counts and give you some insight as to what your best options would be for booking at this time.

And if you are borrowing that takes care of that then. I assume you posted on the transfer boards here on TUGS? I truly don't know a thing about how active they are. Do you have any friends/neighbors or relatives that are members? I had a coworker help me out a long time ago because I needed just a few points like you do. I compensated accordingly. Just make sure that if someone does transfer points to you that they are transferring to your correct use year that the rez dates falls in. Good luck!!!

Thanks for your insight. I think I will book 2 days for each reservation and hopefully add the other nights at 7 months. I am not familiar with the tugg boards but will check into that. Thanks again
