In two weeks, three friends of mine, my husband and I are going to the World for the first time together. We have all been before, but only my husband and I have been together. Another couple are newlyweds, married in January, and haven't been together. And then, my best friend is going unattached. I need some creative, fun and adult things to do at the parks and Downtown Disney.
We are all on a budget and are trying to stick to a budget. We will have the Wild for 3 pass, we're all Floridians. The newlyweds share ownership to a timeshare not far from the gate. I also have bought into a PhotoPass share. Claudia, the recent bride, hasn't been to the World since '98, but the rest of us have.
Normally, when my husband and I go, we're with my family, tagging along, so we're at a loss to things we can do at the World to have fun without traveling off-property and without having to shell out a lot of money. Any suggestions?
We're also trying to stick to a diet. Claudia is losing weight to have a baby this year. My DH and I are trying to lose weight to get back to where we were when we were dating. Any suggestions on good, healthy food in the parks that are counter service? We're trying not to do Table Service to save money.

A couple of things to do:
Take a monorail tour of resorts: CR, PR, and GF
Take a walking tour of resorts: BC, YC, Dolphin, Swan, and BW
At BW in the evenings there are street performers on the Boardwalk that can be fun to watch. Also, checkout Jellyrolls dueling pianos bar.

Go to Fort Wilderness and rent a bike and travel around the campgrounds. Stop at the barns and look at the animals. You can even bike over to Wilderness Lodge. There is a paved path that connects the two resorts.

Tour around the different resorts. Port Orleans has a great CS option with create your own salad. Just tell them what you want on it and they make it in front of you. The PO resorts are nice to stroll around.

Go to the Poly and watch the fireworks from the beach

Go to the Animal Kingdom lodge and walk around and look at the animals. If you are there are 4 p.m they offer a free guided tour for their two TS restaruants and give you samples of some of the foods they serve.

The broadwalk area is a great way to spend the evening. You can grab a coffee, ice cream, dessert and people watch. You can even watch the fireworks from Epcot.

All of the resorts offer movies by the pool in the evening. Granted they are kids movies but its a free activity.

I also agree with the poster above, touring the resorts. You can also do it this way depending on how much time you have.

Go to any of the these: CR, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge. You just take the boat rides to/from any of these, check out each resort and go back to point-of-origin. Nice way to see the area from a water's view and very relaxing.
