I donot want to sell the Universal side of our Christmas Trip short. 14 yr old daughter loves disney, but convinced her to set aside a chunk of time for Universal this year (She loves Potter!)

I neatly found a few deals and divided the trip into 4 days Universal and 5 days Disney.... but here is the rub - the switchover from Universal to Disney is December 19! --- From my readings that is when crowd go from busy to crazy!

Keep in mind we have NEVER been to Universal and want to take in everything (not just hit the high spots)

Here is the current slate
-Arrive LATE on the 14th
-Will be staying onsite at HRH (Club Room!) departing Sunday 19th (we have Blue Man tix on Wed 15th)
-We move from HRH to Coronado Springs -- Standard Room :( -- at Disney on the 19th and departing Disney LATE on the 23rd.

Would I be selling my Universal portion of the trip short by attending the MVMCP at Magic Kingdom on the 16th. We have done the Party before and I would be soing it ONLY to try to get her more disney time if the week of Christmas crowds are unmanagable. I also do not want to deprive us of a Universal Event if there are tons to do to fill up FOUR days....

I think you should have enough time in your 4 days. I know Disney is super busy starting on the 19th so going to MVMCP might be a good way to get on some rides there. If you daughter likes MVMCP, I'd take her.
