Hi All,
I may be better posting this on the restaurants board but thought I would try here first.
We are going to be staying at OKW with our family (me,DH, DD and DD) and another couple. We are all on the dining plan. In order for us all to keep track of our credits would it be possible to separate the credits so they have theirs on their KTTW cards and we have ours? With 6 of us I would find it hard to keep track especially as we will be eating separately some days.
Thanks

do I presume that you are all staying in the same hotel room, and if so I cant see it being a problem to ask for this, the same goes for making the cards room chargeable

The credits are done on a per booking basis so if you are all on the same booking the credits will be pooled.

I have read reports of being able to seperate charges but not DDP credits. Those you will have to track yourselves however you can get a printout from the front desk at anytime.

Thanks for replies.
Yes we are all staying in a 2 bed villa at OKW so are all on the same booking. On that basis then I presume it would not be possible?
Thanks

Although you can't separate them, you could ask one of the DISigners on the Creative DISigns board to make you one of these http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1723996 or even come up with something similar yourself. Just make sure everyone keeps all their receipts. Meals are fairly easy to keep track of - you usually know (especially at Disney :lmao:) how many times you have eaten a meal in a day. It's the snacks that get confusing as it's easy to forget you used a snack credit to buy a bottle of water at 10 am when someone asks you the next morning. I always keep our receipts and have a little notebook with me anyway and mark it off when we sit down to eat.

If you are keeping track of your own family's credits it will be easy to see what your friends have used as the total remaining credits are printed out on the bottom of your till receipt eveytime you use the DDP.

Thanks 2Tiggies!

I am totally anal sometimes and a complete planner but the other couple are not so I felt it would be best if we could split them so that our poor friends don't have to put up with me getting out my binder/notebook/whatever while they try to buy a cake!
We are going October next year for the first time. I loved your trip report from October last year. If you don't mind me asking how busy is it? Having only been to DLP I don't know what kind of crowds to expect. Do you think it's a good time to go? Any advice would be great!

Thanks again

I'm pretty sure that if they are close enough friends that you are staying together on holiday, they will have no problem helping keep track of things. Even laid back folk understand that there are times when a bit of planning is required and if you all just sit down and have a 5 minute chat so that everyone is on the same page, so to speak, it's unlikely you will have any hassles. :goodvibes I bet your friends are grateful to have a planner taking care of all the arrangements :goodvibes

We were in the exact same situation as you this past May (2 families sharing 2bdrm at OKW) and we were unable to split the credits. It worked out OK as we had anything above and beyong what was included in the dining plan (alcohol, other food not included in dining plan) billed separately from the dining plan stuff.
