Hi experts, I am in need of opinions!!

We are taking our 2 year old daughter to Disney for the 1st time. The trip is SO important to me! I want everything to be perfectly magical for her. Right now I am trying to decide where we should have dinner the first night...

We will land at MCO late afternoon/early evening, so we will check in (Contemporary), have dinner that night, then go to sleep and start fresh at Magic Kingdom the next day.

** Should I do Chef Mickey's or 1900 for dinner?? **

My instincts would be Chef Mickey's as an intro to the classic characters, also, we are planning to stay at The Contemporary so it's easy. Also, it is a priority of mine to not overwhelm her during this trip so I thought staying at the resort would be a calm and easy introduction.

BUT my daughter is OBSESSED with Cinderella (all princesses but Cinderella especially). We talk about seeing Cindy at MK all the time but she is not as into Mickey. Is 1900 dinner going to be just great for her? Also wondering if maybe she'll see the monorail and want to ride it immediately.

We'll definitely hit both these places during the trip but want that first dinner to be PERFECT!!

Thank you very very much for any thoughts!!!!

My girls LOVE 1900 Park Fair! Cindy and the prince make the rounds to all the tables for meeting and pics. The step mom and sisters are there too and they are a riot! I should add that my girls are 17 and 18 now, but they still love it!!! We've gone 4 times now. It is tradition that we eat there our first night after check in!!!

I love both of these restaurants, and you can't go wrong with either one. However, if it were me, I would do Chef Mickey's for the arrival day since you are staying at the Contemporary. Travel days are always exhausting, especially for kids that are off of normal schedules. Even though the monorail is fun, if your daughter is tired and/or overwhelmed from the trip you may not want to have to do any extra traveling on your first day. Plus, you can watch the monorail drive through the Contemporary which is pretty cool. The new Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom is open with a gorgeous meet and greet opportunity to see Cinderella when your daughter is fresh and well rested. The first encounter with Cindy might be more enjoyable for you and your daughter if you are not exhausted.

We've eaten at both, and did Chef Mickeys on our arrival night last trip and it was wonderful! A perfect way to kick off our vacation! Have fun!
