...I'm not sure the OP is bringing his family on the rundisney trips fwiw. Good call. Having to be mom and runner is a pain in the patootie, especially with those early morning wake ups. I assume the op is lucky with his kidcare situation at home! I'm not lucky like that. If I want a no-kid trip it means that it's a no-hubby trip as well.

I am definitely lucky: both mine and DW's parents live in town, are in good health, and love to keep the kids for us!

I wouldn't buy at a resort where I couldn't get Home Resort advantage if needed, especially wanting space for marathon.

An infant in a studio only works until the kid turns 3. On a 50-year contract, that ain't much.

We love visiting Poly for O'hana, dole whips, and beach fireworks. The lack of a regular 2BR option is a problem for us, sadly. That was a big oversight in my opinion.

I completely agree with you! We would have bought direct if they had.

I just mention it because I have seen on other forums direct Poly buyers who don't want 2 studios, but want a real 2BR, getting upset about being locked out at 7 months during Frenzy, and that it wasn't how it was sold.

For every "We've never had trouble getting what we want at 7 months even in fall!" there seem to be considerably more people finding that 7 months can be brutal.

I'm also super into Run Disney and am a runner. That's why I'm purchasing at the boardwalk. My understanding is I would still have to take a bus to get from the resort to the starting line, but I am hoping proximity means I wouldn't have to get up at like 3:30 am haha.

Plus when I ran the 10k last year I ran on the board walk. If I did that again i could wave at my husband while he sat on our balcony!

Hopefully I'll mostly want to do half marathons though!
