***advice Needed..asap!!!!***

alright. well i have a lot to explain, so ill get to it...

im in 9th grade, but im in the orchestra at my school, and its grades 7-9. i play the viola, and i'm first chair. i sit next to the 2nd chair viola and the 2nd chair cellist. the cellist is an 8th grade boy. it is really obvious he likes me. hell stay with me while i pack my viola into its case after class, he talks to me during class, and today he even complained that he doesnt get enough time with me. last week, he also told me that he knew an 8th grader in the orchestra that liked me, but he wouldnt say anything now because he didnt want anyone getting embarassed. what he said today was even worse. he said that he had something to ask me, but he wouldnt ask me there because people could overhear. he said he would ask me at the next after school rehearsal (thats in 8 days, yes i counted).
its totally obvious hes going to ask me out. i hardly like him as a friend. i definently dont want to go out with him. i mean, hes nice, and i dont want to hurt his feelings, but...

I had a guy ask me out one time and i hate turning people down cuz it killls me. i hate it when people are mean to me and i feel like i am being mean when i turn someone down but hey you gotta do what you gotta do. Be honest. trust me i may be younger but i have had experience its easier to tell the truth

I was in a similasr situation. A guy I kinda knew from band asked me out at the end of last year, I told him I needed to get to know him better before I went out with him. Long story short he kinda got possesive before I gave hima yes or no, so I had to say no. In this situation the best thing to do is be honest and say something like, "Oh I think it's really sweet of you to ask me out, but I don't think that I feel the same way about you." Kill 'em with Kindness.
