Well its been a while since I have been to Universal (about three years) and I just wanted some advice.

First, correct me if I am wrong, there is no longar a fastpass/expresspass as part of your normal ticket?? You have to buy it or stay at a hotel, correct?

A follow up question to that is I may pay $100 (gulp) for two expresspass that cover both parks on either the 30th or 31st? Any suggestions on which day I should use it?? Also, it seems to me that with so many hotel guest, plus the people that can buy the passes(i know there is a limited number of tickets sold) that the express pass line may get really long, is that true??

Yes, it is true that the "front of the line" express pass is only free to those who stay at one of the 3 hotels: Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, or Royal Pacific.

I think that if you would have to pick one day for the express pass, I would use it on the 31st, as it is New Years Eve and, last year, there was a huge New Year's Eve celebration at UO.

As to your last question, it is probably true that with more people who have the express pass, the line for the express pass will probably exceed the regular line. That did happen quite a few times on my visit there in summer of 2005. :sad2:
Hope that this helped you!
