We have decided to stay at least part of our trip at Hojos next year. I have read so many positive things on here (this is where I discovered it) and trip advisor. I saw someone mention the great 'family rates' they got for their stay. I joined up to the email address some time ago but never receive anything. When are they likely to offer their special rates? Should I book in to secure the time we want to go now (Oct next year) as I am worried that because we check-out just before Halloween it might be busier. Thanks Hojo experts!

I haven't seen any emails from them for a while. The last one I can remember was atleast a couple of months back. They used to offer the family rates quite often but they seem to be quite random now. I assume business is good and they don't need to offer discounted rates. If you book now and a discount does come out for your dates just call them and they will apply it for you. They did this for us on our last trip. We have always been happy with our stays at Hojo. The rooms are quite basic, but very clean. Service has always been excellent.

I signed up for the emails too and haven't had one since around June or July. The code 'LNDB' gives 15% off (I think) if that helps.

Usually the family rates in the emails were applicable for a few consecutive dates as stated so you'll generally still have to a few non-discounted nights if staying for more than a few nights.

Ok thank you, I think I will book soon and just wait and see if I get any email offers, or I am hoping I can use my DVC points for at least a few of my nights at Grand Cal if I can get in at the 7 month booking window, fingers crossed!

Do you subscribe to Mousesavers' Newsletter? Quite often they have a link to a discount code for the Howard Johnson. I think you can also accesss the code from Mousesavers' website.

I don't know if the code from Mousesavers is as good as the ones they issue themselves, but might be an option if nothing else pops up.
