I joined match.com to just see what was out there. Well the first day I did a search to see who matches me and low and behold my Ex BF. I guess I wasn't good enough for him so I decided I might strike up some conversation with someone. I started talking to this guy that caught my interest cause he was talking about Marths Vinyard. we talked on the computer and phone for 3 months, I go on sloe speed and take procautions meeting someone from the computer. Well anyhow I met him last week, and if I had to order a male he would be what i orderd. 6'3" dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and a personality like mine. We have been dating for 2 weeks now and it is going fine, i think this guy likes me but what I wanna know is how long do I wait till I get intimate with him, I'm 46, not 17 so I am old enough to know, HELP, I'm liking this guy and I am trying not to? :p

I am not sure why if you like him, but you're trying not to? Many people have met on the Internet and have had good relationships. Of course, there are the oddball liars out there, but from they way you're talking it doesn't sound like he's one.
Any relationship you undertake you have a risk of getting hurt - meeting someone in the mall, grocery store or bar - you can't let that scare you off of something that could be good.

My advice would be still to take it slow and steady and only go to intimacy when you are ready. Patience is a virtue.

When I get in a situation where I am unsure what to say or do, sometimes I think "How would I reply if someone asked me this question?"

That helps some. I may be young by some standards and old by another, but I have decided that should I ever be able to meet someone else (After I am in my own place), I will take it slow when it comes to intamacy.- well, that is my plan

I would think you would know when it was right... that is what i would tell my daughters...guarded with my usual words of caution.. I think the fact that you are asking means you are not ready yet.. Good luck, I hope it works out.. he sounds great.. :D

Simple....if you are questioning when then the time isn't right! Not to say down the road you may feel different or even next week...but I always felt if I questioned it then wait.
