Advice for two days in London..?

I thought that might be enough benefit, but the idea was nixed by my brother in the end... he really wants to take the Tube everywhere... which means far more planning for me to figure out the routes to take. Ugh... :/

Golden info! <3 I am usually brave, I am just feeling stressed for time and for the first time am actively worried about not having my cellphone data at my disposal for maps. I guess I have gotten far too used to the modern age - never before have I felt like I needed GPS and the internet in general as I do now.

I completely agree with all of you about using the Tube vs. buses but thats the sort of guy my brother is... he is enamored with the Tube for the Tube's sake and even called out the heat himself. He keeps saying he wants to do London as the locals do even though I have pointed out that all you locals are saying take the bus! I take my city's lightrail into work every day and even though ours have A/C they can get very smelly so I'm NOT looking forward to using it personally. Once so my husband can say he's been on it, sure, but no need to do any more than that unless it is simply the most efficient route from A to B in my view. I would think living in Leiden for years now without a car (just outside Amsterdam) he'd be a little more over public transit for the "experience" too...
