I'm looking into buying a portable charger for our cell phones for when we are in WDW this winter. I'd like to hear from people who have some and how they like them. I will need one that can charge two Samsung galaxy SIII's . Please mention makes and models if you do so I can look at amazon for them. I have free shipping from them and a gift card to use towards the purchase.

I have two different portable chargers.

I have a New Trent iCarrier 12000mAh Portable Dual USB Port External Battery Charger/Power Pack that I purchased last August and used during our 7 day Disneyland trip last September and our 10 day WDW trip in December. It charges 2 devices simultaneously and provides one 2A output for iPad/Tablet and one 1A output for iPhone/smartphones, although you can plug phones into either outlet. We were able to charge our two iPhone 5's multiple times before the charger needed to be recharged. It's a powerhouse but a little on the large size, about 4 inches square and 1 inch high. It's also a little heavy. I only bring a small cross-body backpack into the parks and it took up a bit of room in my bag. Still it was so much more convenient to be able to recharge while we were on the go rather than hunting down outlets and then having to wait while things charged.

Recently, my son and I each purchased a Anker Astro Mini 3000mAh Ultra-Compact Portable Charger Lipstick-Sized External Battery Power Bank Pack. It's so much smaller and lighter, about 3.5" long and just under an inch in diameter. I've been able to fully recharge my phone three times when I was at 50% battery before the recharger ran out of juice. I'm looking forward to using it when we return to Disneyland in September.

We use a solar battery charger. It is about the size of a cell phone and has a key ring on it. I'm not sure what brand it is, but we are planning on buying 3 more before our Disney World trip in September because the one that we have works pretty well. I would definitely check in to which ones have good reviews though.

I uses to use a portable power pack frequently (my cell's battery wasn't really sufficient for a whole day) and I still use them when I'm traveling.

I'd think about the mechanics of charging two phones at once. You'll have the battery pack and some usb cables, plus the phones to keep all together. A charge from 10%-100% is going to be 2-3 hours at 1A and I find that mighty inconvenient - especially if I'm the one who handed my phone off to be charged. We carry a charger each, or pass a set of shared chargers around as needed.

Make sure you get a battery pack with sufficient capacity. Your phones have a 2100 mAh battery, so you'd want a pack with at least 6000 mAh to charge both phones.

Our travel chargers have lasted through 3 phone upgrades, so I'd probably buy something that could charge at 2A, and has the largest capacity I'm willing to haul around/pay for.
