Advice for Peacock Suites

Good morning!

I have searched around the forum and wanted to see if anyone could offer any recent insight in regards to the Peacock Suites. I am headed there in a month and a half  for a quick 3 day trip with my sister and our kids. She had the timeshare given to her, so that is where we are headed.

In reading, most people say it's a 10 minute walk. Is that a "gotta-get-there-before-the-park-opens" walk or a leisurely stroll (is anything leisurely in L.A.)?

Is it better to bring paper plates to eat on since the bathroom sink looks like the only sink in the room? Does the mini frig have a freezer that will fit frozen meals?

Thanks for the information. I can't wait to go! This is my first trip ever with my sister (I'm 38 and she's...in her 40's) and our girls (we both have 2). I can't wait to make the memories! :woohoo:

My question is when people say "10 mins", 10 mins to what point. I count from doorstop to turnstile. It is .65 miles. So, it really depends on how fast your family walks a 1/2 mile. 10 mins can be done. But I think it is a fast pace. I think 15 mins would be more accurate.

You could make it in 10 minutes if you like to speed walk.
With crosswalks/traffic, and the security bag check, you should give yourself 15-20 minutes from parking lot to turnstyle.

The 1 bedroom we were in had a sink in the living room(above the fridge/tv)
Paper plates would be a good idea. There is a table with 2 chairs in the living room also.

The fridge "May" have a freezer section, but if it did, it wasn't very large. All we put in it was bottled water/snacks.

Thanks, Sound Guy and Malcon! I'd rather know ahead of time and plan accordingly!

We stay at the Peacock all the time, we own with Shell so we use the majority of our points in Anaheim right now. DBF and I have walked it but it takes 15-20 minutes minimum walking at a "normal" pace. We do not walk it with the girls. You can catch the ART shuttle right outside the hotel but it is often full already so you may have to stand. An alternate idea is to walk to the Toy Story lot, the exit to this lot is across the street from the Garden Walk, the Garden Walk is right behind the Peacock. Walk through the exit and head to the "front" to catch a bus, then get a free ride to the parks. :)

Also, the above post regarding a sink above the fridge/tv, this does not exist in any room I've been in at the Peacock Suites. We've stayed in all sizes, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom. All rooms only have the bathroom sink. They also have a microwave, coffee pot and fridge, the fridge does have a small freezer compartment but it is tiny. The Peacock also offers a free breakfast, it's pretty decent and we enjoy it. We use the silverware and plates but not often, we perfer paper plates as well, they are just easier. :)

Have fun, the staff is nice and the valet's are very helpful!
