Hi all
Looking at booking a special retirement holiday to Disney Paris for next September. Our party size is 3 adults , all brothers and we normally stay in the Cheyanne or Santa Fe.

As it's a one off special i was looking at the advantages of staying in the Newport Bay in a Compass Club Family room. I see they no longer include the breakfast automatically in Paris which we really enjoyed on previous stays but do include it in the Compass room if i'm reading things right?
They also include a sofa bed which is a benefit for us as younger brother usually ends up on the floor on a blow up matress!
I'm sure i saw something mentioned somewhere on their site of something called a Disney Fastpass available if you stay in certain room types in certain resorts. Can anyone shed any light on what this entails if such a thing exists?
Another question which know one may know yet if the breakfast thing is new but do you get hot options now instead of just the cold meat and cheese etc offered in previous years? It's been 2 years since our last visit so a bit behind the times with Paris.

I'm trying to justify the extra cost of a new resort for us and the extra benefits of doing so so any words of encourgement appreciated :)

Cheers as always.

Hi
I just returned from the compass club over Halloween. We loved it. The compass club does come with a breakfast which is pastries and selection of hot food as well as the cold meats you mentioned. Its not a lot, when we were there it was eggs, bacon, veal sausage (they taste like hot dogs!) beans and pancakes. You have it in the lounge, not in cape cod where the regular breakfast is served. You can also get soft drinks for most of the day, and they provide an afternoon selection, which we had a couple of times.

Compass club comes with a Hotel FastPass, which is good for one ride per person per day, so if you go and get a fast pass on your ticket, you have 2 rides guaranteed no queue. Its available at Compass club, Club level in sequoia lodge and all rooms in the Disneyland hotel. They are like ride vouchers that you hand over whenever you want to go at the fast pass entrance.

We were in a standard room, so can't comment on the comfort of the sofas, but if they are like the ones in florida, they are pretty comfy.

I think its worth it, some of the stuff is very nice and the afternoon tea is delicious.

Hope this helps.

Indeed , thank you for this , it answers all my questions nicely :) Now just to have to decide if it's worth an extra £400 or so for the 5 nights over a regular room in the Sequoia. I'm sure my brother who normally get's relegated to the floor will agree it's well worth it :)

Thanks again , appreciate the info.

Thank you, it was very helpful, we're just debating whether to splash a bit for club level or just go standard.
I think it depends how you hit the parks. If you are a opening till close, I'd say probably not, as you would be able to hit most of the FP and breakfast you cover in the price difference in the rack rates. If you want somewhere a bit more chilled, then its for you.
Very nice hotel though. :)

Thank you, think we're going to treat ourselves! We stayed at the Newport Bay before its refurbishment and LOVED it. However DH has now told me he wants to stay at the Hotel New York. It does absolutely nothing for me, :scared: I didn't even like the restaurant we ate in there (think it was the Parkside Diner) but I'm going to think positively, there are lots of HNY fans on here so I hope it will grow on me if I stay there rather than just visit it.

I'm with you. HNY doesn't really float my boat. We are staying in DLH in Dec, so hopefully that should be cool.
