Advice for my next DCP application please?

Hey everyone, I just need some help for when I apply for the DCP again in September (yes I'm planning already!).
I put in an application earlier this year for the fall, but decided not to go on to the WBI since I am going on a vacation later this year and want to participate in the DCP when I can fully commit.

Anyway, my problem-
I actually went to boot camp for the Navy and got separated because of medical issues. On my application, I put that I was not in the military but am now realizing that I should have stated the opposite, since I technically was even though I did not make it past boot camp. Boot camp is the reason why I had left my job, and I put that I left to go to school since once I got back home I looked into courses again. I feel really bad about this because now if they can see this application AND my new application when I put the correct information in, it will make me look like a bad person. Obviously they do not want to hire an inconsistent person who seems like a liar!
I'm wondering if they will be able to see both applications, if it will ruin my chances, etc. I feel so stupid and it's making me so anxious!
Sorry for the long and boring story, but if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it!

Seems a little irrational to me, I'm not sure how you would classify military status stuff (since I was never in any branch) but as for having inconsistency in your resume and past work experience shouldn't count against you in this manner. For one, it could have been that this situation happened between applying, more importantly if Disney cared I'm sure the recruiter would ask you about it during your phone interview and you could explain the situation.

Also as for applying for the DCP in general Im not even sure if having military status would help or not... Im sure it would make you look better than the next candidate but it most likely wont come down to you or someone who doesn't have it anyways.

My advise would be look into how to declare military status with your situation (since I don't officially know how this works) and when you go to apply for the CP fill out the application to the best of your knowledge. If Disney has any questions Im sure you will be asked (either in the interview or before hand). Good luck with your application though! Hope you get in

I think the only time military status needs to be officially declared is if you're applying via the Heroes Work Here thing

So I am still a little confused, are you NOW in the military or not. Basically you went through boot camp and were separated. Then you went back? or the status is still with no military placement.

The reason I ask is if you are NOT in the military, then why dont you just keep your resume consistent. And if you ARE currently in the military it must have happened between recent resumes therefore you can just say that at the time of the first resume the Military status was Pending medical release, and now you are active.

Please give more detailed info or a timeline of what happened?

Thinking about it now it may not be such a big deal, but when I put it on my next application I just don't want them to be confused as to why at first I put that I was not in the military and now I am saying I was. If it is a concern, I hope I can explain to them. It's not for the benefits at all, just concerned about getting accepted to the program!

Focus on the health reason that caused it all. Then you could actually say "Hey I think I may be considered a veteran" "But I never served a day of active duty although you were committed at one point in time. I donk know.

Just winging it a bit here but you should not over-react. Just tell them you didnt want to take credit when alot of Hard Working and brave men and women serve and give their lives every day and you did not think you were worthy of any special treatment or respect for having served. But you were totally committed to doing so until this health reason had to sideline you regretfully!! Focus on the unfortunate health thing.

No don't worry, that's good advice! I think they would know about it because they run background checks (right?) and I'm pretty sure military service is on there. Plus when I joined the service I was finger printed and all that good stuff. Oh well, I'll stop overreacting now.
