Hi all! Hope you're having a nice day:goodvibes

I'm actually trying to plan out our trip June 7-12 (touring plans FP+) and wanted to get a little advice. We're a family of 4 staying at AKL two kids ages 8 and 5 (actually one turns 8 while were in Disney!)

We have Chef Mickey reservation on June 8 and we had originally planned on going to AK after and then doing MK @ rope drop on the 11th. (just two days of tickets)

but now I'm thinking that we're going to be near MK anyway on the 8th and with FP+ we can limit some lines so should we forgo the rope drop and just do MK on the 8th? We're not big into doing too much while in the parks- this trip we do want to get on Dumbo though (missed last two times)

Also we want to see MK fireworks but may just ride out for that and watch from TTC.

I guess my main ? is do we go out to Chef Mickey and then back to AK for the day so we can do ropedrop at MK on a different day or do we just stay at the MK after Chef Mickey and have a late start.
reservations are at 8:30.

TIA!

Assume your 8:30 ADR will have you out of Chef Mickey at around 10:00-10:30. If you have no major goals for the park that day, you should be okay. It will be crowded, but the alternative is not getting to AK until 11:30 when it will be more crowded.

It seems like you have several days without theme parks. Why not do Chef Mickey on one of those days and do RD on both park days?

I would stick to the original plan of AK on the 8th and MK on the 11th as Josh at EasyWDW has those parks listed as the best to visit on their respective dates. You can easily accomplish almost everything at AK with a late start, not the case with MK which can take a solid 2-3 days to tour in its entirety.

I apologize I should have added that the kids are doing the pirate cruise pirate:on Tuesday (10th) and we have water park tickets also.
