Looking for some help in finding appropriate accomodations for a week at WDW. We will be a group of 10 consisting of my parents, my wife and I and our two kids and my sister and husband and her 2 kids. The four kids are aged 11,11,8 and 5. Ideally, the two families with kids would like to be together in a large suite or villa but my parents would like to be close but have some space of their own for some peace.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

have you thought about renting a house in one the nearby neighborhoods? Last year we went with 19 people and got two houses and it was so nice.

On site you might check out the Wilderness Cabins they sleep 6 and have a kitchen.

We went with a group of 12 to POP last December. We had two sets of adjoining rooms. My dh and dd and I had one next door to my brother in law his wife and there three kids (one was in crib). Then my inlaws and sister in law and brother in law were in the other rooms. That gave them much more peace and quiet. I would highly recommend staying on grounds... it allows for so much more magic!

Maybe check the Beach Club Villas. Your parents could then stay at the Beach Club hotel which is right next door, and the rest of you could share a villa. They have a great pool and its a great area too.

Unless you want to spend the big bucks on a suite at one of the deluxe resorts, your choices will probably be limited to the DVC propertys, the Wilderness Lodge Villas, the Beach Club Villas, the Boardwalk Villas, Old Key West, or Saratoga Springs. You can book these directly through Disney, or buy points from a DVC owner, there is information on doing this, I believe on the budget board. The other option is to get three rooms, two connecting and one near by. I would suggest the Poly, it is very laid back and relaxing, has a great pool and the best transportation options available! What time of year are you thinking of going?

I would suggest staying on site in conjoining rooms like suggested above but why im suggesting it is im not sure if they still do it but with a group that size you would be eligeble for a grand-gathering and could hold special things with that---- but in order to take advantage of that you have to stay on property---

we had a big group at Halloween but didnt stay on property so we could not do a Grand gatherings
