Advice for Chicken Little's Mom?

Hello all,
We'll be spending a week mid-November at the Poly in WDW. We have boy/girl twins who will just turn 9, and a dd age 7. Here's my question:
My son loves all rides, so does his little sister (although she may not be tall enough for some - I have to measure her closer to our trip!)
But his twin sister is very leery of most rides. Much prefers teacups, etc. and the slower pace of Disney. If we are going to just spend one day at Universal, which park would you recommend?
If this helps, we spent one day last year at Universal (not IOA) and two hours after entering (and her being sitting out on Twister, etc), both twins got heatstroke and we had to leave!
So, any advice will be appreciated. I like to please the whole family, but it ain't easy! THANK YOU!
-Melissa

PS: Just remembered - if there are any suggestion for good food, that would be helpful too. One thing we all have in common is a love of food, and they love themed places so much.

I would would stick with Universal for your DD who doesn't like rides. There is now Shrek and Jimmy Nuetron, which all the kids will like. Also, ET, Woody Woodpecker, Fivel's Playland, Curious George, Men In Black (unless that is too scary for her, but my DD - 5 loved it), the Animal Planet show, Maybe Jaws (not too scary if you tell them what to expect). Just a note to avoid Earthquake at all costs with scared or timid kids. My kids who did every ride without being scared, including all the coasters, Jurassic Park ect., were terrified of this ride!!

IOA would be great for your two daredevils, but I would worry your twin DD would be sitting out a lot. She would certainly make the height requirement for Spiderman (40 or 42 inches), but would she be too scared to do it? She would problably have to skip, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Popeye's (?), Ripsaw Falls, Poseidon's Fury, & Jurassic Park River Adventure. So that leaves Suess Landing which everyone would like, Flying Unicorn if she would like that (kind of a kiddie coaster, but VERY speedy and fun), and Storm Force Acceltron (like the tea cups). Then there are other play areas - Me Ship, The Olive, Camp Jurassic.

Could you do a half a day at each? If I had to pick one, I would pick Universal, just so one child wasn't left out a lot. I know how that can ruin a day. Good luck!

Thanks Tigerlilly's Mom - I think Universal is the best choice, considering what I've read here. Although Seuss is a big favorite in our house, there's simply too many rides that she'd miss out on, and I hate to see her sit around while everyone else enjoys themselves.

I'm not sure about that split question - never saw that one posted here. Anyone know about that? Can you do half days in each park? Probably not.

Either way, it still beats a day in New Jersey waiting for the snow to arrive!

Thanks!

Universal would be best, but both parks are awesome. Enjoy your trip!
