My 5 year old fell off the monkey bars friday and fractured his humerus. Saw the orthopedic surgeon for follow up today. Dr. was very optimistic that it will heal easily with no problems. He cautioned us it may be difficult to fully enjoy a trip to disney with a broken arm but OK'd trip and said to let pain be his guide. No swimming or roller coasters with shoulder restraints. I also think space mountain and big thunder mountain are too jerky. Not sure about some of the other rides. His arm is in a sling and then ace wrapped to his body. We are going with extended family and determined to enjoy this time together and playing at Disney. But my son is sad about many of the things he will not be able to do. any advice? tips or warnings about rides that may be perceived as tame but have some jolts? tips for other things and active 5 year old may enjoy? without much added cost? I hope there are some fun one handed video games at the resort while his sister swims during afternoon breaks???
