advice for a friend (baby related)

I let my husband go on a week long golf outting in Biloxi, 6 weeks before our first kid was born. I enjoyed the time alone! We also had the understanding that not matter what it cost he would be on the first plane back the nanosecond I called.... but that was a 3 hour flight that was availible several times a day... 8 or 9 hours flight... 3 weeks before she is due.... tougher call.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the feedback, I can offer her more support based on your responses, she seems to be pretty upset about this.
Also, I am saying 8 or 9 hours based on flight times I looked up because I had no idea how far away Vancouver was from NJ myself.

I think it's too close to the due date to go.

I think a man who has "already said" that he is going isn't going to care what you, us or his wife thinks.

I think theyhave more issues than can be figured out here.

I think you ought to stay out of it.
