Advice for a first-timer, going alone?

So I'm leaving tomorrow morning and arriving June 4th at approx. 2pm. Probably going to the park as soon as I arrive--so what is your advice?

I'm staying till the 8th, but grabbing a 5-day pass sounds nonsensical--I'll only be able to stay there for half a day, or less, on the first day anyway, so should I get a one-day pass for Day 1 and get a 4-day for the rest of the days?

Also, any miscellaneous advice for a teen going alone? :S

A 5-day pass is $335.48 (including tax).
A 4-day pass is $324.83, or $10.65 less.

A one-day pass for MK is $111.83, for EP-HS-AK it's $103.31.

So, it doesn't make sense to purchase a 1-day pass and a 4-day pass. If you purchase a 4-day pass, you can add the 5th day for $10.65 during your visit, when you are more sure about your end-of-visit plans. Do your upgrade before the last day of your tickets is over.

Don't know where you're staying but if it's a Disney resort, your safety and security will be good. Don't mention to other strangers that you're traveling alone. I've done solo trips and all was fine. Many visitors at WDW are solo for various reasons. Have fun!

Yes, the more days on your ticket the cheaper per day it is (i.e. adding days gets cheaper the longer the ticket is). Buy the 5-day, even though you'll only use a half day on the first one. It will save you a significant amount of money.

Definitely go with 5-day pass. FP+ is great for going to a park on afternoon of arrival day, you can have three Fastpasses in hand when you get there. There are a few rides that have single-rider lines (Everest, Test Track, Rock n Roller Coaster) where you can usually get on the ride much quicker than the standby line.
