My daughter and her soon too be husband will be flying for the first time this July for their honeymoon. I was wondering as I will be helping them do their packing and giving them their instructions for the airports etc. Do you have any advice for me/them for me to pass along. I understand the TSA rules for what I can and can not put in their carry on bags. My daughter is terrified of getting lost when they get off the plane in Orlando and not knowing where to go when they arrive at the airport in Orlando to come back home. We are going to walk them through the process at our airport here up till security when we can't go any farther with them.

Thank you so much for any information you would like to share.

Sorry I did a search, but must have done it incorrectly. I just found the sticky I looked so hard for, for newbies at orlando airport. I will start reading that now. Of course any advice is still welcome. We can all see that I overlook things that are right in front of me.

My advice would be for them to pay attention to the signs. They will direct you where you need to go. Also for her to check the departures boards.

When they fly to Orlando make sure they are there early. Explain the security line to them and what they need to do (shoes off, liquids bag separate, if they are taking one, laptop out).

As for when they get to Orlando...follow the crowd to baggage claim.

Not sure how they are getting to/from the airport in Orlando, but make sure they leave plenty of travel time to get there, check in, etc.

Also make sure they know to listen to announcements and check the board for delays, gate changes etc.

I'm sure they will be fine.
