We are doing Disney Dec 9th-15th but flying into Orlando/Sanford airport on the 8th, landing at 5:30pm. So we are looking for someplace close to Disney World to spend just 1 night before we can check in to CBR. Any ideas? All I care about is it being pretty close to WDW and CLEAN!! Thanks!

All Stars or POP!:thumbsup2

If you don't have a car, this would be your best bet, IMHO:)
Take DME from the airport to the Value resorts, and next morning, check out and Bell Services will transfer your luggage to CBR for you.

Easy!

Have fun!

We will have a car so I was thinking more along the lines of outside WDW somewhere. Outside but close, KWIM. I was thinking maybe someone else would have done this before and would have some reccomendations. Thanks for your advice!

I always recommend Comfort Suites Main Gate East. My sister and mom stayed there and really enjoyed it. They have a free deluxe continental breakfast where you can make your own waffles. The pool area was nice too. They booked through hotelmartusa.com and got a rate between $70-$80. If you want something less expensive, you can find lots of deals at hotelmart or on hotelkingdom.

Thanks so much for the advice and information! I really appreciate it.

If your flight gets into MCO fairly late you might want to think about staying by the airport...we always Priceline a 3* hotel room in the MCO zone if we arrive fairly late. The hotels all have complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport 24/7, so we just hop the shuttle to the hotel and are usually in bed in less than a hour after the plane lands. The next AM I usually hop up and ride the shuttle back to the airport, pick up the rental car and swing back by the hotel, where everyone else is ready to go so we load up and head for WDW....for us this always worked so much better than waiting in the rental car line, and driving out to an off site hotel 30 minutes away and then moving in the AM...plus the hotels by the airport on Priceline were MUCH nicer than the ones close to WDW in the same price range, and it often saved a day of car rental.

Thanks for the advice. I should have mentioned that we are now flying into Orlando/Sanford instead. We found a great deal out of our home airport but Allegiant only flies into O/S. We will land at 5:30pm on the 8th. Our reservations at CBR start on the 9th so I am still looking for a 1 night place. But not close to the airport just close to WDW. Thanks so much for the help!

Try Alpharooms.com its a travel company based about 40 miles from me in UK. Sometimes we get better rates here than you get in US. I use them for a lot of my trips and recommended them on here, nobody has had problems with them as far as I know.
I only did a quick search but 2 that stood, first was Courtyard by Marriott LBV its a stones throw form Downtown Disney, stayed there 25 nights last August and going back again fro 25 nights this August, great reviews on Tripadvisor $69.55 incl tax.
Another is Homewood suites by Hilton International drive, larger than your average room, $81.82 incl tax and breakfast (decent breakfast we enjoyed it).
They have lots more from $33 incl tax. Allstars Movies for $101.
Hope this helps

Thanks for advice you guys! I will check that website out wayneg. Friends of Pooh I will also check that Comfort Suites out. Sorry about the title. I never would have thought that my title was "scandalous" until you pointed it out! Too funny!

Hey Wayneg, I used your advice a few months back and booked a 1 nighter at the Sheraton Safari thru alpharooms.com. It's less than a mile from DTD and was only $78 incl all taxes.
They were super nice and I'm confident that our ressie will be just fine. Thanks! :goodvibes

Good to hear.
I have always used their online booking with no problems, only pay a deposit then balance 5 weeks before travel but this week I had to ring them and speak to an advisor about our Oct trip to Vegas and Disneyland, really friendly and sorted my enquiry in seconds.
You need to check other sites also and compare but they have some great rates that can't be matched sometimes. I am lucky as they are an affiliate of a cashback site (rpoints.com) I use, so get 3.5% cashback off their rates.

We just returned from WDW and spent our first night at Comfort Suites Maingate East. The hotel was great! We had a very large room with two queen beds (AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!) and a sleeper sofa. We booked directly through the hotel and paid $103. I must say it was bigger and just as nice as our room at BCV that we paid a lot more for!

Hey thanks for the info. Your kids are ADORABLE! Where was that picture taken? The water looks so pretty!

I recently took a short solo trip and stayed, at my brother's suggestion, at the AmeriHost Suites on Irlo Bronson.

I am an on-property "snob," and I used to work in hotels, but I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The rooms were recently renovated, and you could tell. I had a kitchenette, with microwave and fridge. There was a free breakfast, and it took me 10 minutes to get to Epcot (basically 5, depending on lights, to get on property).

Oh, and I stayed during spring break time and only paid $52! I was really surprised.

Awesome guys! Thanks for the information. I will definitely get one of those Magicards!

Hello
I am from SW MO too. Acutally, I think we chated about Allegaint before:) I have changed my user name since then though ( long story):)
We stayed at Buena Vista suites for one night and it was close and very clean. You also get a free full breakfast the next morning. I would stay there again and it's easy to get to if you take 417 from Sanford.

Hey, thanks a lot! We probably did chat about Allegiant before. I have been asking a lot of questions lately!! We actually decided to use Allegiant in December. I found some good $69 pp each way flights out of good ol' Springfield. I didn't figure I could beat that! I will check out the Buena Vista suites, thanks for the advice.
