Advice and Opinions, please re online check-in

We will arrive at POFQ on Wed.

And I had requested building 5, and I KNOW IT IS JUST A REQUEST, as suggested here on the DIS, I just called to reiterate that request with guest services at POFQ. Well, the CM told me that I did not get my request.... I wont Boo Hoo, cause I am going to DISNEY!!

My question is..... should I just go ahead and check in online?? I had read previous threads that advised against it if you had a special request, but since it doesnt look like they can accomodate my request, should I just go ahead and check in online?!

If you don't do online check in, you could talk it over with the CM when you check in and see what other buildings they have available. Sometimes, when I check in, I don't always get my request, but they show me other buildings or areas that are available and I can decide from that. Also, last year at CBR, I didn't get my request, and they actually updated me to a preferred building for free. I also got updated to a preferred building at CSR for free. Have a great trip!!

I would wait things change all the time. Building 2 is almost the twin of 5 on the other side of the pool.
