Usually the dealer service depts LOVE warranty work. a few times I picked up my car, and was told, oh, btw, we replaced your catalytic converter today, an error message showed up on the screening....... um, sure. They can usually bill for more time than it actually takes to do the repair, IF they know what is wrong.
I agree with others, try another dealer's service dept. It is a tough break that they are so far away from you...... (here in NJ, we have dealers all over the place).
