Has anyone been on these new trips? Our daughter is graduating from high school next year and we're toying with the idea of going on 1 of these....Costa Rica looks awesome. She went to France this summer with an art class from the school so she is into international travel now.

Thinking about possibly trading points and then paying cash for other travelers. The trip looks a little expensive, but I'd never get my act together well enough to schedule all the fun things on the travel itineraries.

We'd love to hear from anyone thats traveled.

So far I've only seen one trip report - from someone who went on the Western trip last year. I think it was a "trial run" but it was the same program. I think the person gave a glowing report. I know there are a few other threads with people who were going this summer - hope they'll post when they get back!!! Search for "Adventures by Disney" and I think you'll find them.

We were going to try the Hawaii one but the one we wanted was cancelled - I suppose they didn't have enough people sign up. The other Hawaii trip didn't work with our schedule this summer, so we're going to WDW instead!!!! But I do hope to go on one of these trips in the future. They are pricey, but I think the service and the "having it all done for you" aspect would really appeal to me!!!

We just returned from the London/Paris ABD and were very impressed! There were many teens and early twenty's in our group as well as the younger kids. Believe me - they thought of everything! Best of all they took our luggage from London to Paris and we didn't have to touch it! The hotels were first class and quite large by European standards and the Chunnell was also first class passage. Yes it is expensive, but really has something for everyone. Hope to go again sometime.

We too are looking at Costa Rica. My son was really interested in that one. That's the only one I would do since the other locations are easy for me to plan and do on my own if I wanted. I thought I'd rent my points and pay cash. I hope someone does it soon and posts a review.

I think one of the most difficult things is that these boards (as good as they are) have no forum for ABD. Hence, what information there is - is scattered among many forums. I have suggested before and I do again, a forum for the ABD tours would be appropriate for those looking at these trips.

I don't remember where I read it, but I read a glowing report as well. I wish to take my 4 dd's, but they can't accomodate parties of 5. That and the youngest has to be at least 8. (We want to go on the western trip.)

I'm in agreement with ppiew... it would be nice to have an ABD forum unto their own. May help ABD get off the ground some, too!! Free advertising is always a good thing!

Some tours did allow participants to be under age 8. We had two on our ABD that were 4 & 6. So accommodations can be made. My concern is that there really isn't much to interest a 4 yr old. They tire easily and can become bored with museum tours etc. As I have said before, these adventures require a LOT of walking, climbing stairs etc. and therefore not conducive to a toddler. Just think about what your children can enjoy/tolerate - especially concerning the price paid, will they get enuf out of it? The tour we had was great and I loved it! It isn't for everyone, but those that can 'fit in' will really enjoy it!!! If you can do it with cash/points or cash only - go for it. You won't regret it and the teenager will have the experience of a lifetime. Best of all you won't 'throw a shoe' or become paranoid concerning security! the ABD are the BEST!
I guess I base my opinions on the Disney Cruise - something for everyone!. You can enjoy it separately as adults- or as teens. Plus Mom & Dad actually feel that junior is safe during the excursions!!!
