Could anyone tell me about the entertainment at The Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island. Is it an actual play or skit that takes place? Do you need to get there at a certain time and stay the entire night to see all the acts to get the entire story. Or can you you get there anytime? Is there audience partisipation?

Also is there a schedule posted when the nightly entertainment at Pleasure Island begins.

The Adventurer's Club is a lot of fun. There is a lot going on in there. There are set shows in the Library room throughout the night. Each show is different, but you don't need to see one to understand the others. The Library shows last about 20 minutes maybe. Then there are two other rooms, the mask room and the trophy room. Different members of the adventure club hold "talks" in these rooms that last maybe 10 minutes. Finally, there is the main salon where various skits and interaction go on throughout the night. While there is a "script" of sorts to all of the action, audience participation is a huge piece, so you never quite see the same thing twice. The adventurer's are all really good at Improv and interacting with the guests.

I hope I've done a decent job of explaining it. It is really just so much fun and I highly recommend checking it out.

does anyone know the age requirement for a.c. I was wondering if its 21 .

The Adventurer's Club rocks.

There is no age limit for the AC, but the entertainment is geared to late teens and up. There are skits and improv during the skits based on interaction with the audience. My DD was 18 when we took her last January and she thought it was a scream (probably because her Dad was the luck one chosen to hold up Bessie the cow and twirl around when Emile told him "moo.")

I've seen a few parents there with younger kids, and although a brief visit is just fine, a longer stay probably isn't. It is a bar, and the humor can be bawdy.

Kungaloosh!

A utilitarian greeting, it can mean "hello," "goodbye," or "don't touch that it's dead."

Kungaloosh!!!

Adventure Club is a blast!!! It is a so funny!! We always go there, and we end up spending most of the night there. Everyone has such a wonderful time, and the skits are just soooo funny!!

I highly recommend the Adventure Club. No matter what time you get there, there will always be something going on. Never a dull moment!!!

Drink one for me!!! :teeth:

I'll pass along the sage advice I got before I visited the AC the first time.

"Have a couple of drinks and go with whatever happens."

I hope this thread doesn't reveal the details of all that goes on in here. The suprises are half the fun. Do yourself a favor and avoid reading up on the details of the AC. You'll have more fun.

We never, and I mean NEVER miss the AC. Our last visit was in 2001 and we took our kids ages 13 and 16. The Colonel tee'd off on be pretty well. My kids thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen. They talked about it for weeks.

Our next visit is this coming November. We'll go at least once.

Kungaloosh!

we discovered AC on our honeymoon back in 2002...we thought it was a riot!!! definitely not to be missed!!!

I'd like to go to Adventurer's Club on our trip next year, but I am very reserved and HATE to be the center of attention. Do the performers let audience members volunteer or do they just pick on people at random?
