Adventure Island Water Park

Has anyone been to Adventure Island in Tampa.
If so, how does it compare to Disney's Water Parks.
Are there plenty of shady spots to sit?

Adventure Island is not as extensively themed as the Disney water parks, but then what water park could be? Still it offers a lot of fun things to do, including the Everglides which I believe is unique to Adventure Island. It's a speed slide that you ride sitting upright on a little yellow sled-like contraption. When you hit the water at the bottom, you go zipping across the surface, unless of course you hit the water wrong, in which case you get dunked.

It also has the advantage of being a lot closer than the Disney water parks. If you happen to be in Tampa, that is.
