Have any of you done the Adventure Boot Camp or the Power Walking Workout at DCA? Couldn't find any reviews of the Adventure Boot Camp online. I just registered and I'm a little nervous - haha :)

I didn't get to do the boot camp but I did do the morning yoga and the core class (the latter is free and done on the terrace overlooking DCA) and the lady who runs the fitness classes is incredibly nice and is not the type to yell at you for not being able to do something if that's what you're worried about. If you're tired, you can just pause and she'll just keep going and not call you out. She worked at Aulani for ten years and ran their fitness programs before moving to CA more recently, so she has a very chill vibe and is very encouraging. They also give you some snacks and bottled water.

Came here to ask this. I do OTF about 4-5x per week so I'm pretty confident I can handle a 45 minute bootcamp class (I'm sure the views help), but I wanted to know what I was getting into before signing up!

I mostly run & walk, so I signed up for the boot camp just for the jogging part :)
I'm not a morning person, so I'm mostly nervous about the 6:30am time!

Let us know how it goes, I just signed up for the boot camp class for my mid-May trip. I mostly do exercises with dumbbells and go on the rowing machine so I'm not much of a runner. I also signed up for aqua yoga the following day so I'll see how that goes.

I did both the Boot Camp and the Power Walking and they were both super fun! The classes were a highlight of my trip! (Except for the super early morning start time 😂😴)
For the Boot Camp, 1 guy and I were the only participants. The instructor was a guy and he was very energetic, fun, and enthusiastic. We did some jogging and walking, making a loop around the park. At different places we'd stop and do exercises. For example, in the WOC viewing area, we did 8 squats, 8 lunges, then ran up all of the stairs, then ran back down to the start. Then he had the guy increase to 10 of each, but I stayed at 8. For the third set, he had the guy increase to 12, but I still stayed at 8. This was because I was slower than the guy, but he didn't make me feel bad about it at all, and I honestly didn't mind just staying at 8! In the Avengers area, we used a ledge to do push-ups, tricep dips, side planks, and I think mountain climbers (if I remember correctly).
For the Power Walking & Active Stretch, there were about 18 participants. The instructor was a woman and was also super energetic, enthusiastic. Very friendly & encouraging. The walking was 18-20 minutes per mile. There was more "active stretching" and exercising than I expected, but it was fun.
At the end of both sessions we returned to the area in front of the spa. They had bottled water and Kind bars.
If you like exercising and don't mind early morning, I would recommend the classes! It was pretty cool to see California Adventure before it opened. The cast members walking around were all friendly too.
Hope you get to do the class!

I just came back from a trip where I did the bootcamp in DCA and the aqua yoga class at the hotel. The bootcamp class was more tiring than I thought it'd be, but still very fun. We jogged/ran in between the different areas of the park where we did sets and there were six people total in the class. It was pretty cool to see them get the park ready for guests in the morning, though no pictures are allowed. The Avengers music as you exercise is particularly inspiring.

For aqua yoga, I did it on a day I wasn't going into the park, but it was really nice! There's a very sturdy inflatable yoga board that you jump into the water to get to, so you definitely need your swim suit for this. Since it's at the pool at GC, it did feel a bit odd at first to do this while people were watching while waiting for their table at Storytellers or eating breakfast outside by GCH Grill but it was easy to ignore them. I luckily never fell in and the instructor gave good advice on how to stay balanced. Standing up for the first time on the board was a little difficult but it got a lot easier after that. I'd definitely recommend this class, if you're able to do it.
