The last few years we got the kids a tsum tsum advent calendar to share. They loved taking turns to "pop a tsum" each day and it was a fun way to count down to Christmas.

They stopped making those calendars, so now I am trying to come up with something else that could be fun, but not too expensive. I was thinking of making our own advent calendar this year and each day would be a small gift they could share, or something useful. So far I've purchased a Christmas Pete the Cat book, mittens and fuzzy socks. So that's 3 days... if anyone has any fun and inexpensive ideas, I'm open! It can be something the kids can share (like the book) or individual. I have a DS10 and DD 7 for reference. And bonus: if you have any fun ideas on how to present them each day, I would love that as well! Thanks!!

I first saw the hanging felt(?) advent calendar at Ghirardellis as I peeked in window of chocolate Candy side . It has 24 little pockets that would fit the individual chocolate squares they used to sell by the piece.
Ice Cream. Side was open but not Candy side... prob no more free samples! Curse you COVID...
Anyway, I was just at Target and they are selling same calendar so I guess you could look for tiny objects to insert without spending a lot at Ghirardellis!
How about wrapping somethings unexpected like a new toothbrush... or
Holiday pencil . Currently Target has a lot of PEZ ( Mandolorian and smaller CHILD PEZ . I hate that hard Candy tho’
Tradition has to include gold chocolatecoins and a mandarin orange in stocking!
My favorite must buy Advent Calendar is Lego Star Wars Advent calendar This years special piece is Darth Vader in a Xmas holiday sweater!
Lego makes a lot of different holiday Advent Calendars

I wish Disney still sold the Disney dollars or Baskin Robbins gift money .Heck even McDonalds used to have gift coupon booklet for sale...
I hate those plastic gift cards...cause they get thrown in drawer or lost under car seat.... I guess you could make your own Gift certificates good for one scoop ice cream cone or something else.

So I looked at the images from people that ought that oriental stocking stuffer pack, and there is the cutest idea for snowman bags made out of white lunch sacks, black construction paper (for mount eyes and hat), Orange construction paper for the carrot nose and then christmas paper of different varities for the hat band on the snowmans hat! Too cute!

I remember those.. I loved that MCD has pics of fries or Ice cream on the front they were fun to give.
Dollar tree is the best..
We found flavored lip balm, art supplies and even toys for our cat ( son loves that) everything had to fit in a envelope for each day.. our scout elf leaves them every day
