Advantage Rental Car @ Orange County Airport

My husband and I are planning on being in California Aug.15th - 19th and the cheapest rental car (for a full-size) is $244.00

I saw that Advantage Rental car is offering $150 for the same time and was wondering if anyone has used them before and if they are any good?

Haven't used that company, but on the Transportation board someone posted a code for National that brought down my rental cost. Put 8572987 in the contract ID field on the National website and see if that helps.

Also, be sure to check Hotwire.com. They almost always have come up with better rates that I can come up with on my own.

I haven't used them before, but definitely try Hotwire or Priceline. We originally had a reservation with Enterprise for our trip, who was the cheapest, but about a month before our trip, I checked Hotwire again and it had gone down in price... then I used Priceline and got a car for even less! AND, it's now with Budget (another name brand), so we're still staying with a company we know.

Alamo has a fullsize for $150 (including taxes) Aug 15-19 at Orange County, but only if you drop off at or before the time you pick up; otherwise it adds another day, and the price goes up.

Go to Alamo (dot com), use I.D. 430710 (Walmart customers) and Internet coupon AD13149JDF ($15 off 3-day rental).

I would make a reservation and keep checking rates as the time gets closer. I have a one week rental out of LAX that started at $126 and dropped to $100.27.

Not sure of your pick up & drop off times, but just using noon on both days and a Ent Book coupon code, with tax & everything the cost is 143.83.

You can also look for codes on the Costco website. I have rented many times with the Costco codes, and with Entertainment Book codes, and have NEVER been asked for a card nor coupon.

Where is the transportation board?

On the DISboards there is a board dedicated to transportation. Many of the posts are specific to Orlando, but there are plenty of generic "how do I get a good rental car rate" threads and Disneyland ones too

Sorry guys, I forgot to put in there that we will be picking up the car at 10:00am on Aug.15th and returning it at 4:00pm on Aug.19th due to our flight with American Airlines. I think that may be why we are getting crappy rates but unfortunately cannot change our flight times.
