I'm starting to think about banking and borrowing needs for a trip with at least 1 other couple to WDW.

I'm thinking very far ahead- Sept. 2011!!!

Labor day is Sept. 5th that year. I like to fly out on Saturdays as a continuous M-F works best for me with work, so I'm thinking we'd arrive Sat. Sept. 3rd and leave Sat. Sept. 9th.

BUT, How crowded are the parks Labor Day weekend? How hard is it to get reservations @ 7 months? With it being Adventure season I was crossing my fingers that it might not be THAT bad, but I wasn't sure...

What I want is to stay in a THV for a week if I can get one at the 7 month mark. (I'll probably book two SV studios @ BLT 11 months out as a fallback, then @ 7 months look for a 2 BR that is <= a THV in point cost and waitlist the THV if necessary.)

DW & my anniversary :lovestruc is Sept. 8th, and we were in FL for our honeymoon, but weren't in Orlando until after LD weekend so I don't have personal experience. We even were staying off property :scared1: and went to US during the trip! But that wasn't all bad; it was enough to convenience DW that my buying into DVC the following year wasn't such a bad idea. :rolleyes1

Do you think we'd be better off spending our anniversary @ home and traveling 9/10/2011 to 9/17/2011 instead? That would include our friends anniversary, Sept. 13th...

Thanks!

This year, I got a ressie at BCV at the 7 month window for labor day weekend! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Also, I think Sept has usually been pretty quiet since kids have just gone back to school.

Good luck!

We went last year and just booked for this upcoming Labor Day with no problems at 7 months out. Last year we booked at BWV and this upcoming year we booked at SSR. The actual Labor Day weekend was a bit busy, but overall crowds are WAY down as compared to just a few weeks prior. Starting the Tuesday after the holiday the park is really empty...no lines anywhere!! As pp said, most schools are back in session and many people just don't pull their kids the first few days of school. Great time to visit!! :thumbsup2

I'm very happy to hear this as I am going this Sept. 6-11, 2009. I've never been at this time but it's my birthday on the 9th and have always wanted to be in my favorite place on my special day. I can't WAIT! :goodvibes

We have done Labor Day twice, and with the exception of the weekend, the crowds weren't too bad. In fact, much better than expected. Our biggest issue was the weather! Too hot, too rainy, and did I mention too hot???
