Advance purchase Single Day Disney tickets

I'm aware that it is not possible to pre-order single day tickets, over the internet, for MK and MGM. My question is, once we arrive in Orlando will it be possible to buy single day entry tickets prior to the day(s) that we visit the park? This would save having to queue for tickets on the day of our visit.

If it is possible, can we buy these from one place or would we need to visit both MK and MGM to buy tickets from each? Or are the tickets available from non-disney retailers elsewhere in Orlando?

Countdown started at 179 days, as of today, I'm on 10

I just learned this last week, as a matter of fact.

"Since you now know, maybe it's worth mentioning for others that the only restrictions on single day tickets are that they are only available for purchase at the WDW Resort and they are not discountable.

One day one park tickets can be purchased at any Guest Relations location including the two at DTD, at any theme park ticvket booth, and at the front desk and GuestServices of a Disney resort. The ticket does not have to be used on the day it is purchased.

You can leave the park you go to, have your hand stamped, and return later that same day or evening and be readmitted to the same park you were in earlier just like you can with all other tickets. The only thing you can't do is visit more than a single park on that day.

Hi, you can also buy them at downtown disney from those little space capsule type of things !!
They were very helpfull when we went to them and can also make ps reservations etc.
