Hi everyone. There seems to be a lot of questions on the forum about API and what it is and how to deal with it. This is my second visit to Disney my first being last year where the people who we were with booked the flights. My party this year is just my family so the question i am asking is We fly with Monarch from Newcastle Airport on May 9th. What am i supposed to do about the API? do i contact the airline,or just turn up at the airport and it gets done while checking in. I am getting a little confused now with esta forms, forms that need filling in on the plane and now this.
Your help and advise will be appreciated. Thanks

We fly with Thomsons/First Choice and i checked their website about this, and it did say they do it at check in.

Kx

If you check on the website for your airline there should be a manage my booking or simillar on section on the website where it asks you for your reservation number and the lead passangers surname and then takes you to the API. We have booked with BA and the API section was in the manage my booking section of the website.

If you are at all worried call the airline and they will be able to help you answer any questions :goodvibes

I'm booked through a TA so haven't got the info to manage my booking online. I'm with Thomas Cook, does anyone know if I need to sort this before we leave?

I've never heard of API before :s

As far as I'm aware, if you have booked a package the API is done automatically and the remainder of the info (like passport no) added when you check in. If you have booked flydrive or flight only, you should be able to do your API through 'Manage my booking' on the airline website. However, if you don't do it in advance, they should collect the info they need from you at check in. Either way, there is no need to worry too much - it will get done at some point.
