Advance Dining Reservations - Late August

For the week of August 28, there are no ADR's available for Chef Mickey's (breakfast). Does anyone have an opinion they'd like to share whether you think a family of 4 could get seated on a walk-in basis for breakfast during that week. We realize there may be a wait, but if it's 30 minutes or less, it'll be ok. Otherwise, we would skip it. Thanks!

Skip it. Your chances are somewhere between slim and none. Free dining, ADRs open for booking since February, and a very popular Character breakfast = a full house.

I know it's not the same, But I have a ressie for 5 people on 8/30 Crystal Palace at 8:05 am if that will work for you. It gets you into the park before opening and you get some great photos without millions of people in them.

Chances are slim but check everyday...people make cancellations and modify their plans all the time. I got a CP ressie yesterday for breakfast..I was totally surprised and I'm going that same last week in August/beg of Sept. Keep checking and cross your fingers.

It's free dining, the popular spots have probably been booked up well in advance. Keep checking online, you could get a cancellation. You can try for a walkin but you shouldn't expect it. If you have children (or adults) who will be extremely disappointed if they are turned away from just outside Chef Mickey's I would probably say don't try it.

Thank you for the great advice! I've been checking online and a reservation opened up for one of the mornings we'll be there (and I got it)!!! I have pictures from each visit when the kids were little at the plate at Chef Mickey's... and watched them get taller each year.

After missing a few years, we are so happy to be going back to WDW and picking up our family tradition - and I'm looking forward to getting their pictures at our favorite breakfast place!!!
